We were so excited when our client Fiona shared how she wanted to surprise her partner for his 40th birthday. From choosing the venue, to deciding the decor- it was so much fun to integrate a few of Brads' favourite things in life into one evening.
The hustle and bustle of Ritchie market was a perfect disguise to what was a big surprise. With twenty close friends and family hiding in Biera behind the large pipes of locally made brew, we had awaited for Brads' reaction this past Friday evening. A huge shout out to Dan (Bieras' Manager) for accommodating our 'simple decor setup" amidst peak business hours. 😉
Some of our highlights from setting up was having the ability to select the top twenty printed photos of Brad growing up. Although difficult since we had never met our surprise birthday friend, it was a great way to introduce who he was, and what was important to him. Another was being able to work with Sevy from The Wheelbarrow Garderner, who did an excellent job finessing the camo inspired mixed green garlands while we had strung together the timeline of memories at both tables.
